SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 28" Ranunculus spray: burgundy, 1
  • Wire cutters
  • Floral tape
  • Hot glue gun/glue gun sticks
  • Twine
  • Evergreen bush with berries, 1
  • Small leaves from Eucalyptus bush, 3
  • 1 1/2yds plaid woven fabric
  • Basic sewing supplies
  • Simplicity® 4762 Tie Pattern
  • Black velvet fabric

DIRECTIONS:

    Boutonniere
  1. Remove two small Ranunculus flowers from the main stem, leaving approximately 3" of stem attached to the flowers. Remove small pieces of the greenery to add to the boutonniere.
  2. Tape the two flowers together at the base of the bottom flower in a small section on the stems.
  3. Do not tape the entire length of the stems.
  4. Add greenery behind and around the flowers. Tape to the flowers in the same location every time.
  5. Remove two small sections of berries and twist together to form one berry stem. Add these to the boutonniere.
  6. When desired shape and look is achieved, wrap the taped section of the boutonniere with twine. Place a dab of hot glue on the back of the boutonniere where the tape begins. Press the twine into the glue and let dry. Once dry, wrap the tapped section with the twine, occasionally adding a dab of hot glue, to securely attach.

    Scarf
  1. Cut plaid fabric into 57"x 23" rectangle.
  2. Using needle, gently fringe all four edges of scarf 1/2".

Craft Hack Tips and Tricks:

  • Some of the greenery stems do not have to be as long as the floral stems. Only a few of the stems are showing and most are hidden under the twine.
