When matching the gauge in a pattern, the project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes fewer stitches and rows to make a 4' square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across – 150 sc.
Row 2: Ch 3, turn, dc in each sc across.
Row 3: Ch 1, turn, sc through back loop in each dc across.
Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until piece measures about 6-1/2' from beginning.
Weave in ends.
