It also develops early learning skills necessary for school success. The game helps develop preschool skills in reading, math, science, social studies and more. It is compatible with any Hot Dots or Hot Dots Jr. card sets or activity sets. The pen requires two AAA batteries, sold separately.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun & interactive way for kids to learn My 4 year old daughter loves these interactive sets! There are two books in this set and she can do one book in less than 30 mins! She always wants to do these books during our special one on one time when her baby sister is napping. She absolutely loves the Pete the cat pen and I love how it clearly shows when she has picked the right answer vs when she picked an incorrect answer. This set covers a lot of different subjects including letters, numbers and so many more! An added bonus, reward stickers and award certificate is also included! I will definitely order more sets for my daughter so she can continue to learn in this fun way! We will definitely be taking these books with us on our next trips (road trip and airplane), I am always looking for new activities for my kids to do when we travel and these are the perfect way to keep them occupied! I also think these would be good to use during winter and summer breaks so kids don't forget what they have learned in school.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Many mistakes I ordered several of the Pete the Cat Hot Dots Jr items. My son and I sat down together to work on the Preschool Level 2 card sets. I think the questions are good, but just in the first book we have worked on, Pete the Cat's eyes lit up red 12 different times when my son was selecting the correct answer. This has me discouraged to allow him to use the other sets I bought. I can't believe that We are the only ones to have this problem!

She loves to be challenged and learn new things, but she is also very independent and wants to be able to do things on her own. "I can do my own self" is something we hear from her multiple times a day, so when I saw the Preschool Hot Dots Pete the Cat set I knew it would be perfect for her to learn and enjoy while still being able to have her independence. With the "rockin'" interactive learning she has a great time learning about her letters, numbers and more. This is a great set for pre-schoolers. I received a sample. This did not affect my opinions and they are 100% my own.

I was able to target many skills including: following directions, numbers, letters, shapes, sequencing, patterns and more. It was a fun activity that I used as a "reward" at the end of our session and I was also able to use it for my lesson to target student needs. I liked was the hot dot pen has a larger size screw so it was so much easier to open.

It is a perfect tool for long car rides...my 9-year-old daughter would read him the questions. Pete the Cat is one of his favorite book characters, so he was excited to look through the book and answer the questions. I highly recommend.
