DIRECTIONS:
- To print the patterns, click on the "Download Project PDF" button (above).
- Using the pattern templates, cut out the letters in white felt.
- Using the pattern templates, cut out 11 of the banner pieces in an assortment of felt colors.
- Sew each letter to one of the banner pieces, centered at the bottom half of the banner piece. Use the colored embroidery thread and attach with a running stitch.
- Use white embroidery thread to embroider the letters ST next to the 1 on the first banner piece and the OF on the middle banner piece.
- Fold each of the banner pieces along the fold line and sew along the outer edge with a running stitch and varying colors of thread.
- Using the pattern templates, cut out the dinosaur pieces.
- Hot glue the dinosaur pieces onto the OF banner piece, layering first one of the arm and leg pieces, then the body piece, then the top arm and stripe pieces.
- Cut out small round/oval pieces of various sizes and color and glue these spots randomly on the banner pieces.
- String the banner pieces onto a length of yarn or string, separating each word with a wood bead.
JOANN Hacks:
- Switch up the colors of the felt and thread used for each piece to create contrast.
