DESCRIPTION +

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
  • Sweater or other item of clothing
  • Various size Czech & glass seed beads in red, pink, pearl, gold
  • Coordinating thread
  • Thin quilting needle
  • Scissors
  • Heart template (optional, included below)
  • Sticker paper (optional)
  • Printer (optional)

DIRECTIONS:
  1. Print included heart template (scaled to 3") on sticker paper, or hand draw desired shape.
  2. To print the patterns, click on the "Download Project PDF" button (above). Cut out inside portion of heart, leaving outer border intact.
  3. Peel and position heart on fabric.
  4. Cut a 3' length of thread.
  5. Thread needle.
  6. Starting from the back of the clothing, bring the needle to the front center of the heart, leaving a 5" tail in the back.
  7. Thread bead on needle & thread and bring bead to fabric.
  8. Pull needle through the front to the back.
  9. Pull back through to the front in a different area and add a another bead.
  10. Continue adding beads until heart template is full.
  11. Add additional lengths of thread by knotting the new length to previous length.
  12. Finish by knotting and tying loose ends together in the back.
