Item # 04016720P70
Intermediate 1-2 Hours

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Preferred cake mix
  • Cake pans (either 6" or 8" depending on the height you want)
  • Assorted candies and sprinkles in black and white colors
  • Piping bag & decorative tip

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Make sure you let your cake cool completely before adding any icing (otherwise it will all melt off).
  2. “Dirty icing" the cake, or applying a thin layer of icing to the cake, and chilling the cake in the refrigerator, will lock all of the crumbs in, retain moistness and help to create a smooth finish.
  3. Once chilled, add a thicker layer of icing to the sides and top, smoothing it out to create an even surface. Chill again to set icing.
  4. After the icing is set, add a ringed wreath of icing using your favorite piping bag tip.
  5. Add an assortment of different sprinkles and candies to the cake.

JOANN Hacks:

  • Placing the cake in a shallow baking pan while adding sprinkles will keep them from
  • going all over your counter and floor.
