  • Sewing notions
  • Rotary cutter & board (or scissors)
  • Small dowel or chopstick
  • Iron
  • Fabric, 2 yds

DIRECTIONS:

    Seam Allowance 1/2"
  1. Cut all parts using template. Use center lines on back and seat templates as a guide to keep print of fabric vertical and centered. Label pocket locations and tops. Use lines on pocket templates to keep fabric inline with direction of fabric print. Cut 2 back and 2 seats reversing pattern. Cut 4 of each pocket pattern reversing pattern.
  2. If patching together multiple prints, use the center line as a guide for vertical cuts. Any horizontal cuts may be made perpendicular to the center line. Add 1/2" to raw edges of patchwork pieces to allow for the addition of a seam. Sew patches together RST with 1/2" seam allowance (SA). Press seam to one side (toward darker fabric). Double topstitch all seams.
  3. RST sew together pocket panels on straight edge. Press out seams. Fold and press WST. Double topstitch on folded edge. Pin pockets to back and seat panels of back of chair cover. Sew 1/4" from raw edges on curve.
  4. Pin back and seat of back of chair cover RST on curve. Sew 1/2" SA. Hand press seam toward seat while sewing double topstitch from the RS of panels. Repeat for back and seat of front of chair cover.
  5. Pin front and back panels together, RST, lining up seams and center points.
  6. Sew 1/2" from raw edges leaving 6" opening to turn.
  7. Notch all curves.
  8. Turn RSO. Push out curves using a small dowel or chopstick. Press. Fold in and press opening to line up with seam. Make sure to have all the pockets on the same side. Topstitch 1/4" from edge.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pattern is not to scale What's the point if we can only print an 8 1/2 x 11. The measurements are useless if I can't scale the pattern. I was willing to go to a print shop since I can't print at home and that doesn't work.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from not great directions on how to cut templates These templates are not to full size, and no direction is given as to what % increase you should blow them up to. Please put full size template here so we can just print out, put together with tape, and cut and sew. Otherwise, this is a waste of fabric and time.
