Row 3: Ch 1, sc in first 7 dc, [4-dc Cl in next dc, sc in next dc] 3 times, sc in last 6 dc, turn—16 sc and 3 clusters. Row 4: Ch 3, dc in each st across, turn. Row 5: Ch 1, sc in first 5 dc, [4-dc Cl in next dc, sc in next dc] 5 times, sc in last 4 dc, turn—14 sc and 5 clusters. Row 6: Repeat Row 4. Rows 7 and 8: Repeat Rows 3 and 4. FINISHING
Using photograph as a guide, arrange strips side by side in numerical order. The color blocks of the same color should appear to be flowing diagonally across the throw. Whipstitch the strips together.
BORDER
Round 1 (right side): With right side facing, join H with slip st in any st of outer edge, ch 1, sc in same st, [sc in each st to next 3-sc corner, 2 sc in each of the 3 corner sc (corner made)] 4 times, sc in each st to end of round; join with slip st in first sc. Round 2: Ch 1, sc in same st as join, 4-dc Cl in next st, *sc in next st, 4-dc Cl in next st; repeat from * around; join with slip st in first sc. Round 3: Ch 1, sc in each st around; join with slip st in first sc. Fasten off. Weave in any remaining ends.
