  • Scissors
  • Ruler
  • 1/2 yd of fabric for both exterior and lining
  • 1/2 yd Pellon Flex-Foam 1-sided fusible stabilizer
  • 2 size 4 snaps
  • Iron

DIRECTIONS:

    (size 9.7" screen)
  1. Cut (2) 10"x 8" rectangles out of lining fabric and (2) 12"x 8" rectangles out of exterior fabric and interfacing. Cut (1) 5"x 10" rectangle and (2) 5"x 2 1/2" rectangles out of lining fabric. 1/2" seam allowance is included.
  2. Fold 5"x 10" rectangle in half, short, right sides together. Stitch around raw edges, leaving small hole for turning. Turn piece rightside out and press well. This is the pocket.
  3. Apply interfacing to wrong sides of 12"x 8" rectangles according to manufacturer's instructions.
  4. Sew pocket to center of one exterior rectangle, and edgestitch in place on three sides, closing turning hole in process.
  5. Sew exterior rectangles right sides together around all but one short end. Sew lining rectangles right sides together around all sides, leaving one short end open and a small hole in sewn short end, for turning.
  6. Sew each 5"x 2 1/2" rectangle long, right sides together, around all but one short edge. Turn piece rightside out and press well. These will be the straps.
  7. Line unfinished edges of straps 1" away from open edge of outer case with straps facing closed end of case. Sew 1/4" away from raw edge of strap, flip strap up and away from case and topstitch 1/4" away from folded edge.
  8. Sew lining and exterior together at open end, right sides together. Using hole in lining, turn piece rightside out topstitch hole closed. Push lining into case, using excess exterior as a lining facing. Sew snaps onto strap ends and on front of case.
