Contrast A Pearl (8406) 1 ball or 40 yds/37 m

Contrast B Powder (8724) 1 ball or 40 yds/37 m

Note: 1 ball of each color (2 balls) will make 3 Headbands.

Size U.S. K/10½ (6.5 mm) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge.

 

 

SIZE

One size to fit adult. Approx 4¾" [12 cm] wide.

 

GAUGE

11 sc and 13 rows = 4" [10 cm].

 

INSTRUCTIONS

With A, ch 14.

 

Foundation row: (RS). 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each ch to end of chain. Turn. 13 sc.

 

1st row: Ch 1. Working in back loops only, 1 sc in each sc to end of row. Turn.

Rep last row for Rib Pat until work from beg measures 9" [23 cm], ending on a WS row and joining B to last st. Break A. With B, cont in Rib Pat until work from beg measures 18" [45.5 cm], ending on a WS row. Fasten off.

 

FINISHING

Lay Headband on flat surface with RS facing up. Bring up each short edge to meet in middle. Fold Color A short edge to form a “C” shape and B short edge to form a backwards “C” shape, and interlock as shown in Diagram. Sew ends tog using whipstitch.
