  • Susan Bates® Crochet Hook: 8 mm (US L-11).
  • Yarn needle
  • GAUGE: 8 hdc = 4" (10 cm). CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the stitch gauge. Row gauge is not important for this project.
  • RED HEART®
  • Hygge™, Art E869 available in solid colors 5 oz (141 g), 132 yd (121 m) balls

 

Throw measures 45" wide x 53" long (114.5 x 134.5 cm).

 

Note

To change color, work last stitch of old color to last yarn over. Yarn over with new color and draw through all loops on hook to complete stitch. Proceed with new color. Cut old color.

THROW

With A, ch 92 loosely. Row 1 (right side): Hdc in 3rd ch from hook (beginning skipped ch do not count as a st) and in each ch across, turn—90 hdc. Row 2: Ch 2 (does not count as a st), hdc in each st across, turn. Repeat Row 2 until piece measures 7" (18 cm), change color to B. Repeat Row 2, changing colors in the following sequence: work 5" (12.5 cm), change color to C; work 3" (7.5 cm), change color to B; work 5" (12.5 cm), change color to C; work 3" (7.5 cm), change color to A; work 7" (18 cm), change color to C; work 3" (7.5 cm), change color to B; work 5" (12.5 cm), change color to C; work 3" (7.5 cm), change color to B; work 5" (12.5cm), change color to A; work 7" (18 cm). Fasten off.
