- Chocolate Decorator Icing (1lb can)
- Brown Icing Color*

- Cornstarch
- Creamy White Decorator Icing (4lb tub - 5 cups icing needed)
- Kelly Green Icing Color*
- Moss Green Icing Color*
- Lemon Yellow Icing Color*
- Sky Blue Icing Color*

- Solid vegetable shortening
- 13"x 9" oblong cake pan
- Cooling grid
- 9" angled spatula
- Printable Dinosaur Pattern (link to pattern online)
- Parchment paper

DIRECTIONS:
To print the patterns, click on the "Download Project PDF" button (above).- Bake cake. Prepare cake batter following recipe instructions. Bake and cool cake in 9"x 13" pan. Tint chocolate icing. Tint 1 1/2" cups chocolate icing black using color combination provided. If desired, add small amount of cornstarch to help icing crust. Reserve remaining chocolate icing for later step. Using spatula, ice top of cake with black icing. Set aside to crust, about 20 minutes. Tint creamy white icing. Tint 1 cup white icing each dark-dark green, dark green, yellow-green and light teal using color combinations provided. Using Moss Green icing color, tint remaining cup icing moss green. Make stencils. Print dinosaur pattern. Using FoodWriter marker, trace dinosaurs on parchment paper; cut out dinosaurs. Using spatula, wipe very thin layer of shortening on back of each stencil. Place on cake as desired. Decorate cake. Using tapered spatula, gently swipe dark-dark green, dark green, yellow-green, light teal and moss green icing on top and sides of cake, concentrating on stencil edges first. Keep swipes thin and let icing colors blend. Carefully remove stencils. Prepare decorating bag with Tip 3 and remaining chocolate icing. Pipe message on cake.

- Combine Kelly Green and Black icing colors to get dark-dark green and dark green colors shown. Combine Moss Green and Lemon Yellow icing colors to get yellow-green color shown. Combine Kelly Green and Sky Blue icing colors to get light teal color shown. Combine Brown and Black icing colors to get black color shown.
