DIRECTIONS:

  1. Cut several lengths of each of the yarns, approximately 10’ each.
  2. Fold the yarn pieces in half and attach them to the embroidery hoop with a lark’s head knot. (Bring the folded end around the hoop, and then pull the cut ends of the yarn through the folded loop and pull tightly until secured to the hoop).
  3. Continue adding yarns until 1/3 of the hoop is covered.
  4. Randomly choose strands of yarn and braid them together. Knot the end of the braid loosely.
  5. Cut the ends of the yarns to make a point in the middle.
  6. Adjust the braid knots to match where they fall along the cut ends. Tighten the knots and trim the ends.
  7. Remove evergreen elements, berries, leaves and other elements off the stems.
  8. Starting with the evergreen sprigs, hot glue them overlapping each other onto the hoop, over the yarns and up the side.
  9. Glue on leaves and berries randomly throughout the greenery.

Craft Hack Tips and Tricks:

  • Keep the screw of the hoop hidden under the evergreens.
