DESCRIPTION +

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 2 Eucalyptus stems
  • 1 Ranuculus bush, red
  • 1 Ranuculus bush, white
  • 2 Natural trunk bamboo stems
  • 2 Fern bushes
  • 1 Hydra bush with berries, blue
  • Floral wire
  • Wire cutters
  • Hot glue gun & glue sticks
  • Wood dowel, 3/4" x 36"
  • 2 Skeins Lion Brand yarn, Wow!, Non Dairy Creamer
  • 1 Skein Premier yarn, Toy Box, Jump Rope
  • 1 Skein Red Heart yarn, Irresistible, Oatmeal

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Cut several lengths of each yarn 6' and 6" in length. 

  2. Fold each cut piece in half and loop over dowel. Pull cut ends through loop and pull tight to secure to dowel.

  3. Add lengths of yarn until the dowel is full. When all yarns are attached to dowel, trim evenly along the bottom.

  4. Cut a length of strong yarn 2' in length. Tie each end to the dowel to create a loop for hanging the backdrop. 

  5. Set aside the backdrop piece. 

  6. Layer sprigs of leaves one on top of another, using the floral wire to secure them together. Keep layering until base of floral garland is created. 

  7. Pull flowers from stems. Hot glue to keep the flowers secure if needed. 

  8. Hot glue the flowers randomly on the base of the garland. 

  9. Once garland piece is finished, place along the top of the backdrop piece and secure in place on dowel with the floral wire.
