  • RED HEART® Super Saver®: 1 Skein each 321 Gold A, 661 Frosty Green B, 256 Carrot C, and 624 Tea Leaf D.
  • Crochet Hook: 5mm [US H-8]. Stitch markers, yarn needle.
  • GAUGE: 11 dc = 4”; 6 rows = 4”. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge.
  • RED HEART® Super Saver®  E300 available in solid color 7 oz (198 g), 364 yd (333 m); multicolor, heather and print 5 oz (141 g), 244 yd (223 m), flecks 5 oz (141g), 260 yds (238 m) skeins.

 

SCARF

Motif (Make 8 total; 2 each in each color)

Ch 4, slip st in first ch to form a ring. Round 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc here and throughout), work 11 dc in ring, slip st in top of beginning ch to join – 12 dc. Round 2: Ch 3, dc in same space, [2 dc in next dc] around, slip st in top of beginning ch – 24 dc. Round 3: Ch 3, dc in next 2 dc, *ch 3, skip next dc, dc in next 3 dc; repeat from * around to last dc, ch 3, skip next dc, slip st in top of beginning ch. Round 4: Ch 2 (counts as hdc), hdc in each dc and ch around, slip stitch in top beginning ch – 36 hdc. Ruffle Round 5: Ch 3, 2 dc in same space, [3 dc in next hdc] around, slip st in top of beginning ch.

Fasten off.

With right side facing, arrange Motifs in following order:

A, B, C, D, A, B, C, D.

Joining

First and Second Motifs

Hold first and second Motifs together with wrong sides together, mark 12 sts on one side for joining. Using same color as first Motif and working through both layers, join yarn in first marked st, ch 1, sc in next 11 marked sts.

Fasten off.

Second and Third Motifs

Hold second and third Motifs together with wrong sides together, mark 12 sts on opposite side of first joining for next joining. Using same color as second Motif and working through both layers, join yarn in first marked st, ch 1, sc in next 11 marked sts. Fasten off. Repeat to join Motifs in order. Weave in ends.
