Chain 23.
Row 1: Single crochet in 2nd chain from hook and in each chain across – 22 single crochet.
Row 2: Chain 1, turn, working in back loops only, single crochet in each single crochet across.
Repeat Row 2 until piece measures 19 in. (48.5 cm) from beginning.
Fasten off, leaving a long yarn tail. Thread tail into the blunt needle and weave through ends of rows along one long edge and pull to gather for top of Hat.
Knot securely.
