SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Felt 9"x 12", Antique White, 2 sheets
- Felt 9"x 12", Goldenrod
- Embroidery thread, Pink
- Embroidery thread, Antique White
- Embroidery thread, Black (Eyes option 1)
- Small black beads (Eyes option 2)
- Scissors
- Embroidery needle
- Polyfil® stuffing
- Hot glue gun/glue gun sticks
- Pattern templates
DIRECTIONS:
To print the patterns, click on the "Download Project PDF" button (above).- Tape together the pattern pieces as indicated.
- Cut two Giraffe Body pieces.
- With the black thread, stitch an eye onto the face using a French knot, or sew a black bead securely in place for the eye.
- With the pink thread, create two small decorative stitches under the eye.
- Cut out the Giraffe Spots from the goldenrod felt. Hot glue them to the top Giraffe Body piece.
- Place the top and bottom Giraffe Body pieces together and sew around the edge with a blanket stitch, leaving a small hole for stuffing.
- Stuff the Giraffe.
- Sew the stuffing hole shut and tie off the thread.
- Cut one of the Giraffe Ear pieces from the antique white.
- Place a small dab of hot glue to the bottom of the ear and pinch.
- Hot glue the ear to the front of the giraffe.
Craft Hack Tips and Tricks:
- For older children, pattern pieces can be hand sewn in place, rather than glued.

Easy and cute!
This was an easy stuffed giraffe to make. So cute! Giving it only four stars because the directions did not include stitching the smiling mouth or attaching the tail. Both of those should be done before blanket stitching those areas. Otherwise a great project for beginners!
