Special Stitches
Bobble – (Yo, K1) 3 times in next st, turn; slip 1, P5, turn; slip 1, K5, turn; P2tog 3 times, turn; slip 1, K2tog, insert left needle into second stitch, passing it over the previously worked stitch and off the needle. SSP – Slip, slip, purl (Decrease) – Slip next 2 stitches as if to knit, insert point of left needle through back of stitches, purl these stitches together (1 stitch decrease).
HAT
RibbingCast on 90 sts. Join, being careful that sts are not twisted, and begin working in the round. Place marker for beginning of round.Round 1 (Right side): Knit around.Round 2: (K1, P1) around. Repeat Round 2 for pattern until piece measures approximately 1” (2.5 cm) from cast on edge.

Rounds 1 and 2: K1, (P7, K1) around to last st, K1. Round 3: K1, (P7, work Bobble) around to last st, K1. Rounds 4-6: K1, (P7, K1) around to last st, K1. Rounds 7-14: Repeat Rounds 3-6 twice. Rounds 15-25: K1, (P7, K1) around to last st, K1. Rounds 26-35: Repeat Rounds 3-6 twice, then Rounds 3 and 4 once more. Round 36: K1, (P7, K1) around to last st, K1.
Crown Shaping

FINISHING
Make one medium size pompom and attach securely to Crown of Hat.
