SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Cricut® Basswood Boards (9 signs per board, 4" each)
- Cricut Maker™
- Cutting mat
- Cricut knife blade
- Wood burning tool & tips
- Floral of choice
- Pencil
DIRECTIONS:
- In Cricut Design Space, use the shape tool to make a 4" hexagon.
- Create a 1/4" circle on the top and bottom of hexagon.
- Select all shapes and click “attach".
- Copy and paste the attached shapes 9 times.
- Load basswood on cutting mat & cut. Make sure knife blade is inserted.
- While hexagons are cutting, warm up wood burning tool with the script tip.
- Remove hexagons from the mat and trace name with a pencil on each for a template.
- Practice the wood burning script on the scrap pieces of chipboard before starting to get used to the tip and make sure it is hot enough.
- Write name over tracing with burning tool and burn the edges of the chipboard
- On the day of wedding, have florist add a couple stems of floral through the holes and place on each place setting.
