Hexagon Wood Place Setting

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Cricut® Basswood Boards (9 signs per board, 4" each)
  • Cricut Maker™
  • Cutting mat
  • Cricut knife blade
  • Wood burning tool & tips
  • Floral of choice
  • Pencil

DIRECTIONS:

  1. In Cricut Design Space, use the shape tool to make a 4" hexagon.
  2. Create a 1/4" circle on the top and bottom of hexagon.
  3. Select all shapes and click “attach".
  4. Copy and paste the attached shapes 9 times.
  5. Load basswood on cutting mat & cut. Make sure knife blade is inserted.
  6. While hexagons are cutting, warm up wood burning tool with the script tip.
  7. Remove hexagons from the mat and trace name with a pencil on each for a template.
  8. Practice the wood burning script on the scrap pieces of chipboard before starting to get used to the tip and make sure it is hot enough.
  9. Write name over tracing with burning tool and burn the edges of the chipboard
  10. On the day of wedding, have florist add a couple stems of floral through the holes and place on each place setting.
