Beginner 1-2 Hours

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 1 denim jacket
  • Rolls of white lace: 2 rolls of 3" lace, 1 roll of 1" lace, 1 roll of 1 1/2" lace: different patterns
  • Permanent fabric glue
  • Scissors

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Lay the denim jacket flat on a working surface.
  2. For the bottom of the jacket cut off the thick finished edge. Glue the top layer of lace first and glue each additional layer behind the first top layer with the wide 3" layer last. You will do the same treatment to the cuffs and collar.
  3. At the cuffs, pockets and collar, roll the lace around where you want to place them. Cut the lace 2" longer than the cuffs and collar because you will be folding under the unfinished edge.
  4. Once you are happy with the placements, leaving a 1" on each end, glue in place. Once that is dry, fold the ends under and glue to make a clean, finished look.

Craft Hack Tips and Tricks:

  • Be careful not to use too much glue. A thin small line of glue will work best, but DO make a completed line of glue. DO NOT skip any area on the back of the lace where you are adhering it to the jacket.
