DIRECTIONS:
COWLSet up
Pull out one end of the yarn and count out 43 loops. With your thumb and index finger, reach through the 43rd loop and pull the first loop through to join - so that the yarn makes a ring. This ring will be the beginning of your Cowl.
Make your Cowl
Now you'll be working around and around the 42 loops on the ring.
Tip
This yarn is designed so that the loops stay in place - you can set the Cowl down at any point and the loops won't come undone!
The yarn that's coming from the yarn ball is called the working yarn.
Hold the working yarn behind the loops on the ring.
With your thumb and index finger, reach through the first loop after the join on the beginning of your Cowl.
Pull the next loop from the working yarn through the first loop on the ring.
Working clockwise around the ring, continue to pull the next loop of working yarn through the next loop on your ring.
Continue to pull up loops around the ring until you have 5 loops remaining on your working yarn.
Finish your Cowl
Now you'll need to finish off your loops.
Working around the loops on the ring in the same direction (clockwise), pull the second loop through the first; pull the third loop through the second; pull the fourth through the third - and so on across to the end of the ring.
To hide the yarn tail
Carefully snip the remaining 5 loops from the strand of working yarn. Just snip the loops off, don't cut through the working yarn! Pull this strand of working yarn through the last loop on the Cowl to finish off, then pull the trimmed yarn tail through the loops on the inside of your Cowl to hide it.
Pull the beginning and ending tails of the yarn through the loops on the inside of the Cowl to secure them.
