Ch 36.
Row 1: Work 3 dc in 4th ch from hook (3 skipped ch count as beg ch-sp), *sk next 3 ch, (sc, ch 3, 3 dc) in next ch; rep from * to last 4 ch, sk next 3 ch, sc in last ch - you will have 8 (sc, ch 3, 3 dc) groups at the end of this row (counting the beg ch-sp and 3 dc and the last sc as 1 (sc, ch 3, 3 dc) group).
Row 2: Ch 4, turn, 3 dc in 4th ch from hook (3 skipped ch count as beg ch-sp), (sc, ch 3, 3 dc) in each ch-3 sp across to beg ch-sp, sc in beg ch-sp.
Rep Row 2 until piece measures about 48 in. (1/2 cm) from beg.
Fasten off, leaving a long yarn tail for sewing.
FINISHING:
Sew short ends of piece together to make Cowl.
Weave in ends.
