Row 2: Sl 1, p to end of row.

STITCH EXPLANATIONS:
M1 (make 1) An increase worked by lifting the horizontal strand lying between needles and placing it onto the left needle. Knit this new stitch through the back loop - 1 st increased.
yo (yarn over)
An increase that also creates a small decorative hole (eyelet) in the fabric, worked as follows:
1. Bring yarn to front, between the needles.
2. Take yarn to back, over the right needle. This creates the new st. You are now ready to proceed with the next st as instructed.

NOTES:
Afghan is worked in one piece in a Feather and Fan pattern.
A circular needle is used to accommodate the number of sts. Work back and forth in rows on the circular needle as if working on straight needles.
The first st is slipped and the last st is purled. This keeps the edges of your Afghan neat.
When the pattern tells you to slip a st, slip as if to knit or as if to purl, whichever look you prefer.
The yarn color is changed following a Stripe Sequence.
Feather and Fan pattern can be worked by following the written instructions or the chart. Read RS rows of Chart from right to left and WS rows from left to right.
