SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 1 Plaid Ribbon bolt 1.5"x9ft
  • Floral tape
  • Wire cutters or floral snips
  • Hot glue gun and glue sticks
  • Scissors
  • 2 Autumn Mum stems - Beige
  • 1 EC sunflower bush - Toast
  • 4 mini Flower EVA picks - Cream
  • 1 Stem mini Pinecone bush - Brown
  • 1 13" Autumn Zinnia Onion Grass Bush - Beige
  • 1 18" Autumn Berry Bush - Beige

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Begin creating the bouquet by taping together the two beige Mums. Remove any greenery or leaves that are near the taped area. Remove the Sunflower stems from the bush, keeping the stems as long as possible attached to the Sunflower. Attach the Sunflower stems to the Mums by taping them in the same location on the stems.
  2. Insert the entire bush of pinecones into the bouquet. Manipulate the pinecone stems so that they are mixed in with the other floral and located throughout the bouquet. If the pinecone stems are too tall, remove them from the bush and insert stems individually into the bouquet. Tape the pinecone stems to the bouquet in the same location as the previous tape. Push the leaves on the pinecone stems up higher towards the pinecones, so that they can be an accent for the bouquet.
  3. Add three of the mini cream flowers throughout the bouquet. Save a stem for the finishing touches and incorporate it at the end of designing the bouquet.
  4. Remove some of the Zinnia floral from the bush, keeping the stems as long as possible attached to the Zinnia. Insert the Zinnia bush and single stems throughout the bouquet. The single stemmed floral will be inserted toward the bottom of the bouquet, while the taller floral can be used more toward the top of the bouquet. Tape to attach the floral to the bouquet, being sure to tape in the same location every time.
  5. Remove the stems from the berry bush, keeping the stems as long as possible. Insert the single berry stems throughout the bouquet, being sure to fill in any bare spots. Tape to attach to the bouquet.
  6. When the desired size and shape has been achieved, wrap the floral tape around the tapped section one last time to get a strong hold. Add a dab of hot glue to the end of the tape to be sure that it stays tightly wrapped. Trim stems from the bouquet to desired length.
  7. Add the ribbon by using the hot glue to attach it to the back of the bouquet where the taped section starts. Run a bead of hot glue to the back of the ribbon and adhere it to the tape on the backside of the bouquet. Let that dry for a minute and then wrap the ribbon around the bouquet to cover the tape. Add some glue dabs as you wrap to help keep the ribbon in place.
  8. Once the ribbon is securely attached to the bouquet, tie a longer piece of ribbon around the base of the bouquet. Tie in a knot to attach it to the bouquet. Use a dab or two of hot glue in the back to keep the tied ribbon in place.

Craft Hack Tips and Tricks:

  • If floral stems are too short to add to the top of the bouquet, add a longer piece of leftover stem to the bottom of the short floral using the floral tape to attach.
