SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • FolkArt Multi-Surface Acrylic Paint: Pure Orange, Vivid Orange, Moon Yellow, Citrus Green
  • Paper Mache Pumpkin
  • Sponge paintbrushes
  • Small paintbrush

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Paint the body of the pumpkin in Pure Orange. Allow to dry.
  2. Paint a thin layer of Vivid Orange onto the middle of each bump around the body of the pumpkin. Allow to dry.
  3. Dip the small paintbrush in Moon Yellow paint, and stroke the bristles over the pumpkin to create tiny dotted splatters on the pumpkin.
  4. Paint the stem of the pumpkin green. While still wet, paint over it with the Citrus Green, blending the two colors to give the stem a natural look.

JOANN Hacks:

  • When painting the lighter orange, try to blend the colors to give the pumpkin a natural shading look.
