SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- 1/4 yd - plaid flannel
- 1/2 yd - black duck canvas for bag and lining
- 9" zipper
- Basic sewing supplies
DIRECTIONS:
- Cut 2 - 5" x 9" from plaid flannel.
- Cut 2 - 4" x 9" from duck canvas.
- With right sides together, pin and sew 1 plaid piece for top and 1 duck piece for bottom together for front.
- Repeat for back.
- Fold top of each under 1/2" and press.
- Stitch to right side of zipper.
- Fold RST and stitch around bag.
- To form bottom boxed corners, fold bottom seam to side seam and stitch across 2" from point.
- Turn and press.
- Cut 2 - 9" x 10" duck for lining.
- Sew front to back and box the corners following the main construction without the zipper.
- Insert the lining into bag WST and stitch to zipper.
