SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 1/2 yard fabric A
  • 1 yard fabric B
  • 1/2 yard fabric C
  • 1 yard fabric D (for quilt and binding)
  • 1 1/2 yards fabric E
  • 2 yards backing fabric

DIRECTIONS:

    Cut list
    Fabric A: (2) 15 1/2"x 5 1/2" rectangles and (1) 29 1/2"x 10" rectangle
    Fabric B: (1) 29 1/2"x 10 1/2", (1) 30"x 3 1/2", (1) 14 1/2"x 5 1/2" and (1) 39"x 5 1/2" rectangles
    Fabric C: (1) 9 1/2"x 4 1/2", (1) 4 1/2"x 15 1/2", (1) 3 1/2"x 30" and (1) 10 1/2"x 4 1/2" rectangles
    Fabric D: (1) 39"x 5 1/2", (1) 14 1/2"x 10 1/2" and (1) 15 1/2"x 5 1/2" rectangles
    Fabric E: (1) 39"x 5", (2) 15 1/2"x 5 1/2", (1) 30"x 10", (1) 14 1/2"x 5 1/2" and (1) 39"x 6 1/2" rectangles

  1. Following diagram, stitch rectangles together with 1/2" seam allowance. To print the diagram, click on the "Download Project PDF" button (above).
  2. Cut 57"x 44" rectangle out of backing fabric, lay backing to pieced topper wrong-sides together and pin well. Stitch in the ditch of all horizontal lines to quilt two pieces together.
  3. Cut 215" of 2" bias out of fabric D (will need to be pieced). Stitch bias around edge of quilt, right-sides together, using 1/2 seam allowance, mitering corners as you go. Fold bias around to back of quilt and fold under raw edge 1/2" to finish edge. Hand stitch unsewn edge to back of quilt.
