SPECIAL STITCH
V Stitch (Vst): (dc, ch 2, dc) all in same st.
NOTES
- It is highly recommended that you watch Marly Bird’s tutorial videos on planned color pooling before beginning this project
- You may have to tighten or loosen some stitches as you go in order to keep the color pooling intact, and to keep the number of Vsts in each color correct. Keep a variety of hook sizes on hand to help resize your stitches, as different dye lots of the same colorway may change exact length of any given color._x000B_
- Each color segment of the yarn will create 9 Vsts; it is important to ensure that these are created with each color. The color change should occur at the last yo & pull through of the last dc of the 9th Vst made of each color._x000B_
- Edge of scarf may not be perfectly straight as each row begins and ends with a Vst, causing a slight waviness._x000B_
- Most of the beginning chain will not be used; unravel the unused chain sts after completing the scarf (see finishing section)_x000B_
SCARF
Beginning with black in the yarn color repeat, ch through at least one full color sequence, with the last loop on hook being the first loop of a new color (not black) just after a color change in the yarn.
Row 1 (Right Side): Ch 5 with new color, dc in 6th ch from hook (counts as 1 Vst), [skip 3 ch, Vst in next ch] 9 times, leave remaining ch sts unworked, turn – 9 color Vsts, 1 black Vst, 10 Vsts total.
weave in all ends.
