How To Make a Poster Board Frame

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
  • 1 foam core board
  • 4" Poppin’ Patterns Designer Letters
  • X-Acto® X-2000 Precision Knife
  • X-Acto Blades
  • 1 sheet of cardstock paper (any color)
  • 1 sheet of black cardstock paper
  • Large clear grid ruler
  • Pencil
  • Paper scissors
  • Rubber cement
  • Hot glue and glue gun

DIRECTIONS:
  1. Start by cutting out the center of the foam core. Use the clear grid ruler to draw lines with pencil 2 ½" from the edge of the board on the top, left, and right sides of the board. Make the bottom line larger, 5" away from the bottom edge.
  2. Use X-Acto knife along the pencil lines to cut out the centerbof the board.
  3. Punch out the letters needed to spell out “first day of school”.
  4. Creating the 1: Draw a number one on the colored cardstock paper and cut out with scissors. Glue the number one to the black cardstock paper with rubber cement. Cut the number one out of the black paper leaving a ¼" boarder of black around the number one.
  5. Lay out your letters and number one on the frame and glue in place with hot glue.
