Piece of cardboard 10" (25.5 cm) long to wrap Tassels, scissors, yarn needle
GAUGE: Gauge is not critical for this project.
Tassel measures 9" (23 cm) long.
TASSEL
Step 1: Holding A and B together, wrap yarn around cardboard approximately 100 times. Cut yarn from skein.
Step 2: With A, cut a 10" (25.5 cm) length of yarn and thread it through the top of the wrapped yarn; tie a tight knot. This will be used to attach Rope Chain later. Cut Tassel loops at opposite end of knot and remove from cardboard.
Step 3: With A, cut a 24" (61 cm) length of yarn for wrapping neck of Tassel. Wrap yarn around Tassel several times, then knot ends together. Using yarn needle, thread ends into the center of the Tassel, allowing ends to become part of Tassel.
Step 4: Trim ends of Tassel evenly.
ROPE CHAIN
Holding 8 lengths of A together, make a slip knot. Using crochet hook, ch for 20" (51 cm) or desired length.
ASSEMBLY
Using tie at top of Tassel, attach Tassel to center of Rope Chain.
