GAUGE:  17 sts = 4” [10 cm]; 16 rows = 4” [10 cm] in Textured Rib after blocking. 
CHECK YOUR GAUGE.  Use any size needles to obtain the gauge.

DIRECTIONS
 
Scarf measures 5” [12.5 cm] wide x 77” [195.5 cm] long 
 
NOTE: This scarf is reversible.
 
 
SCARF: With A, cast on 19 stitches.
Row 1 (Right Side): Knit 3, *purl 1, knit 3; repeat from * to
end.
Row 2 (Wrong Side): Knit 1 *purl 1, knit 3; repeat from * to
last 2 sts, purl 1, knit 1.
Rows 3-12: Repeat Rows 1-2, 5 times.
Cut A.
Rows 13-24: With B, repeat Rows 1-12.
Cut B.
Repeat Rows 1-24, 12 times.
Repeat Rows 1-12, once.
Bind off all sts.
Finishing: Weave in all ends. Block scarf to final measurements if desired.
