Reusable Denim Lunch Bag

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

• 1/2yd denim
• 1/2 yd lining
• 8" square each, pocket and lining fabric
• 2yds webbing for handles
• 1/2yd insulate
• 1 pkg Velcro®
• Basic sewing supplies

DIRECTIONS:

1. Cut one 18"x 12" from denim and insulate.
2. Cut one 18"x 13" from lining.
3. Cut one 7"x 6" from pocket fabric and lining.
4. Baste front and back denim to insulate.
5. With RST, sew pocket together leaving an opening for turning.
6. Turn, press and sew opening closed.
7. Fold top of pocket 1" toward front and press.
8. Sew pocket to front of bag.
9. With RST, pin and sew back to front.
10. Box the bottom of bag by folding bottom seam to side seam and sew across 2" from point.
11. Trim.
12. With RST, pin and sew back to front of lining leaving an opening for turning.
13. Box the bottom of lining as main bag.
14. With RST, stitch lining to bag.
15. Turn through opening and sew opening closed.
16. Press bag, having the lining extend up 1/2" higher than front of bag.
17. Top stitch around top of bag under the extended lining.
18. Cut Velcro 8" and stitch to inside of bag 1/2" from top.
19. Cut the webbing for straps in half.
20. Overlap the ends of one strap 1/2" and stitch.
21. Pin strap across front of bag.
22. Stitch in place.
23. Pin and stitch 2nd strap to back of bag.
