SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- 1/2yd denim
- 1/2 yd lining
- 8" square each, pocket and lining fabric
- 2yds webbing for handles
- 1/2yd insulate
- 1 pkg Velcro®
- Basic sewing supplies
DIRECTIONS:
- Cut one 18"x 12" from denim and insulate.
- Cut one 18"x 13" from lining.
- Cut one 7"x 6" from pocket fabric and lining.
- Baste front and back denim to insulate.
- With RST, sew pocket together leaving an opening for turning.
- Turn, press and sew opening closed.
- Fold top of pocket 1" toward front and press.
- Sew pocket to front of bag.
- With RST, pin and sew back to front.
- Box the bottom of bag by folding bottom seam to side seam and sew across 2" from point.
- Trim.
- With RST, pin and sew back to front of lining leaving an opening for turning.
- Box the bottom of lining as main bag.
- With RST, stitch lining to bag.
- Turn through opening and sew opening closed.
- Press bag, having the lining extend up 1/2" higher than front of bag.
- Top stitch around top of bag under the extended lining.
- Cut Velcro 8" and stitch to inside of bag 1/2" from top.
- Cut the webbing for straps in half.
- Overlap the ends of one strap 1/2" and stitch.
- Pin strap across front of bag.
- Stitch in place.
- Pin and stitch 2nd strap to back of bag.
