- RED HEART® Scrubby Sparkle™: 1 ball Marshmallow A, 1 ball Strawberry B
- Susan Bates® Knitting Needles: 5mm [US 8]
- Yarn needle
DIRECTIONS:
Mitt measures 4-3/4" [12 cm] wide by 8" [20.5 cm] long.Note: Scrubby is worked in two pieces which are sewn together to make a mitt to fit hand.
MITT (make 2): Holding two strands of A together, cast on 22 sts.
Knit 10 rows.
Change to work in St st with 1 strand of B, work 6 rows.
Row 1 (Right Side): K1, k2tog, knit to last 3 sts, k2tog, k1.
Row 2: P1, p2tog, purl to last 3 sts, p2tog, p1.
Repeat last 2 rows until 6 sts remain on last row worked.
Last Row: [K2tog] 3 times - 3 sts.
Cut yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing. Thread tail through 3 sts and pull to gather. Secure end.
FINISHING: Sew pieces together along side edges, leaving cast-on edges unsewn.
Hanging Loop: Holding two strands of A together, cast on 20 sts.
Knit 1 row.
Bind off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Sew side edges together to make a loop. Sew on to top of Mitt.
Weave in ends.
