Special Stitches:

Picot: Ch 4, slip st in 4th ch from hook.

 

CROWN

Ch 60 (65, 70), being careful not to twist chain, join with slip st in first ch to form a circle. Round 1 (right side): Ch 1, sc in each ch around; join with slip st in first sc – 60 (65, 70) sc. Round 2: Ch 2 (counts a dc), dc in each of next 2 sts, ch 2, skip next 2 st, *dc in each of next 3 sts, ch 2, skip next 2 sts; repeat from * around, join with slip st in top of beginning ch-2 – 12 (13, 14) ch-2 spaces. Round 3: Ch 1, sc in next dc, *(2 hdc, dc, picot, dc, 2 hdc) in next ch-2 space**, skip next dc, sc in next dc; repeat from * around, ending last repeat at **, join with slip st in first sc – 12 (13, 14) shells. Round 4: Working sts loosely, *slip st in each st to next picot, skip next picot, working behind picot, slip st in next dc; repeat from * around, ending with slip st in each st to beginning; join with slip st in first slip st.
