  • 9 one-inch buttons for back (with large holes)
  • Long upholstery needle

  3. Pin batting to front and back.
  4. With RST stitch front to back of pillow leaving one short side open for stuffing.
  5. Turn and press.
  6. Mark fabric for button placement.
  7. Insert foam and fill with Polyfill.
  8. Sew opening closed.
  9. Stitch buttons at marked place on top, inserting needle through all thickness to back.
  10. Pick up button on back (this will secure thread from making hole in fabric when pulling thread tight), bring thread back through to front, catch top button and again go through all thickness and tie to back button.

JOANN Hacks:

  • Make sure you have a lot of room to be able to work with this floor pillow. There is a lot of wrestling with this while stuffing and sewing on buttons Pull the buttons tight to form the tuffs. Use double or triple heavy-duty thread so it doesn't break when pulled. Use buttons on front and back with large holes so needle eye will go through.
