Great looking bag but terrible instructions
I am an experienced seamstress and find several of the steps in the instructions very confusing. Having made purses, I also note several steps missing in the instructions. And when I click on the “print this project” there was no pattern piece. Don’t recall seeing a date on this, but hopefully someone at Joann’s looks at all these poor reviews and does something about it.

Terrible Directions
Love the photo, but the directions are terrible. Since I purchased the supplies, I will finish this project, but only from my sewing experience. The directions go off on the cutting instructions and continue throughout. For instance, step 13 - sew zipper strip to plaid gusset? - we never cut plaid gusset, only duck gusset. Steps 16/17 - trace and cut out front and back according to pattern and iron to front of bag - where? The front and back of bag are 15x19 and the pattern piece is approximate 8x6. I have sewn for many years, and I did not have a clue as to where to sew this piece. Beautiful bag, horrible directions!

Not for beginners
The PDF download contains pattern for one pattern piece...the rest of pattern pieces are square to rectangular and are only described in directions with measurements. Must be able to understand pattern description. Basic or obvious instructions are left out. Experience sewing definitely needed.

What PDF?
When you click the "Download PDF" button, you get ONE page (an unidentified pattern piece). Cute bag, good instructions but no pattern!
