DIRECTIONS:(1/2" seam allowance)
  1. Download pattern PDF and “WERK” SVG file.
  2. Cut 4 – main pattern for mask. (2 for lining and 2 for outside)
  3. Cut 4 – interfacing.
  4. Fuse interfacing to main 4 pieces of mask.
  5. Match two pieces of fabric mask right sides together, and sew the outer curve using 3/8" seam allowance.
  6. Repeat with remaining two pieces.
  7. Open pieces and press both seam allowances to the right.
  8. Top stitch down the seam allowance, about 1/4” from the seam.
  9. Cut 2 – 6" pieces elastic.
  10. Cut 2 – 1"x 11" of fabric for cover of elastic.
  11. Fold fabric in half lengthwise and sew a scant 1/4" seam on outside edge.
  12. Turn.
  13. Thread the elastic through the tube as if you were making a scrunchie. Except sew both ends of elastic to the open ends of tube ending with straight piece with fabric scrunched over it.
  14. Lay one half of the mask down with the right side facing up. Pin the ends of the elastic in each corner following placement on pattern.
  15. The elastic should extend toward the middle of the mask.
  16. Match front and back pieces right sides together
  17. Pin and sew around the exterior of the mask, leaving a small opening at the bottom of the mask for turning.
  18. Turn mask right side out and press.
  19. Top stitch around the mask.
  20. Use a Cricut Maker or Cricut Joy to cut out the “WERK” letters using the provided SVG file. Be sure to mirror the image and place your Cricut vinyl decorative side down on the mat for holographic/glitter vinyl and shiny side down for solid color vinyl.
  21. Peel off the vinyl around the letters and cut out each individual letter. Place the letters onto the mask and iron into place. You may need to iron WE first, then fold the mask and iron RK on the other side. Peel off the plastic backing after the vinyl has cooled slightly.
