Blanket finished size 35” X 35” includes 3” solid border.
Cut 1- 35” X 35” square out of each patterned fleece fabric.
Lay squares wrong-sides together and pin edges into place.  Pin around edge of square to hold two pieces together.
Mark 2 ½” from edge along all sides of blanket. Baste along the 2 ½“mark.
Trim top layer of fabric ½” from outside of 2 ½’ stitched line you just basted. (you are removing 2” of top/face fabric- to eliminate some bulk inside of binding.
Cut fleece binding -7” strips X 150” in length.  Piece together strips where needed to achieve length.
Align binding to outside of marked and stitched 2 ½” line.  Sew binding to blanket edge (right sides together) using ½” stitch from edge of binding.
Start stitching in middle of one side of square to be able to have room to connect to end of opposite side to once you go all the way around the perimeter.
Creating corner miter: Stitch using ½” allowance, stop ½” from each corner (of basted line). -fold binding up to make a 90° angle, crease fabric along 90° angel-then bring back down along next edge you will be sewing.  Fold line should be even with outside edge of blanket. Start sewing at top edge of binding along ½” SA.  Repeat with each corner.
After sewing last corner, overlap where binding pieces come together and cut binding leaving ½” extra on each side to seam together.
Press binding to outside. Turn raw edge under ½” and press for clean finish.
Turn blanket over to other side and bring binding over hand creasing along outside edge.  Fold corners to create miters.  Pin in place. Hand sew binding to back of blanket (along stitched line from other side.
