How To Make A Wire Twist and Curl Bracelet

ITEM # 26913744P15

DESCRIPTION +

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 1 Wire Twist and Curl kit with mandrels
  • 1 Roll of 20 gauge wire (any color of your choice)
  • Wire cutters
  • Jewelry wire pliers
  • Assorted beads
  • 1 Clasp set (style of your choice)

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Cut a piece of wire about 4 inches longer than the width of your wrist. This wire will be the base that you will attach your finished twisted wire pieces and beads.
  2. Following the instructions in the guide, create your beads out of wire.
  3. Once you have created the beads, create the style of the rest of the bracelet.
  4. Measure the bracelet again once you are close to finishing it.
  5. Attach the clasp on one end of the bracelet. Measure it again and then attach the other end of the clasp on the other end of the bracelet.

JOANN Hacks:

  • Think that you are making “beads” out of the wire and then stringing them onto the base wire with the addition of beads to create a bracelet.
  • Practice with short pieces of wire about 6" in length first to figure out how to make the beads.
  • Most beads will take about 12 inches of wire to create.
  • As you wrap the wire around the mandrel, be careful not to wrap it too tightly because it will become difficult to slide off the mandrel.
