7 1/2 dc = about 4" (10 cm).

DIRECTIONS:
NOTES:Cowl is worked in one piece, then sewn together to make a ring.
A crochet chain is woven through the Cowl to create styling options.
TIE
Make a chain about 33" long.
Fasten off. Set tie aside.
COWL Chain 41.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across - you will have 40 sc.
Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc), turn, skip first sc, dc in each sc across - 40 dc.
Row 3: Ch 1, turn, sc in each dc across working last sc in top of beg ch-3 - 40 sc.
Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until almost yarn has been used, end with a Row 3 as the last row you work.
Fasten off, leaving a long yarn tail.
Thread yarn tail into blunt needle, then sew edges of piece together.
FINISHING:
Weave chain in and out through spaces between stitches along any dc row.
Weave in yarn ends.
