GAUGE:
10 sts = about 4" (10 cm) over Rnds 1/4. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE.
DIRECTIONS:
NOTES:Cowl is worked in one piece in the round on a circular needle.
Cowl is worked with 2 colors of yarn, using one color on each round. You don't need to cut the yarn between color changes, just carry the color not in use along the wrong side of the Cowl.
COWL:
With B, cast on 72 sts.
Place marker for beginning of rnd and join by knitting the first st on the left hand needle with the working yarn from the right hand needle and being careful not to twist.
With B, knit one round, purl one round.
Rnds 1 and 2: With A, k1, *slip next 2 sts as if to purl with yarn in back of work, k2; repeat from * to last 3 sts, slip 2 sts as if to purl with yarn in back, k1.
Rnd 3: With B, knit.
Rnd 4: With B, purl.
Repeat Rnds 1/4 until Cowl measures about 9" from beginning, end with a Rnd 4 as the last round you work.
Bind off.
FINISHING:
Weave in ends.
