Item # 04016720P203
Intermediate 3-5 Hours
SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
  • 5 - Pink Loop Yarn Skeins
  • 6 – 2” x 16 round foam, or polyfill (or combination of both)
  • Stitch markers

DIRECTIONS:
Note: The start of the Pouf with the loopy yarn will be worked in a circle starting in the center of the base of the pouf

Make a chain with the first loops of yarn. Take the 2nd loop through the first and the 3rd through the 2nd lp
Work with the next loop and insert into space made by the chain. Insert loops on one side of chain around to the opposite side and back to beginning finishing with a total of 7 loops. (This is similar to actual knitting when you are picking up stitches to knit around a collar or edging),
Mark the last loop with a pin or stitch marker.
Bind Off: Work the 2nd loop into 1st lp. The 3rd loop into 2nd loop. To end. Ending with 1 loop. Place stitch marker for last loop.
Work with the next loop from ball and continue around circle, evenly adding 10 loops.
Bind off these loops as worked in #4. Move the marker or pin up each row.
Continue adding loops around circle.(6 to 8) Evenly space the loops around the circle until the base is the size desired.
When the base is the size desired, pull up loops once again around circle. These will be the stitches you will work your knit or purl loop stitches.
To knit, place the working yarn loops behind the base and pull through from the back to front.
To purl place the working yarn loops in front of the loops on the base and pull through from front to back.
Continue working around until the height is approximately 16” if you are using the round foam.
If you are using the foam, insert all pieces into the pouf and start to decrease.
If you are going to use the polyfil, stuff your piece and then continue with the decreases.
Start to decrease your stitches by working 1 loop from ball through 2 loops on base piece.
Work 2 single loops and then work 2 loops together. Evenly space your decreases around the circle.
If you are using polyfill, stuff to end and then finish to one loop.
When the piece is down to 1 loop, leave a tail from your working yarn and cut.
Weave ends in.
