DIRECTIONS:
- If you want to alter the project, select Customize, then use the tools in the Edit panel to make changes before you cut.
- Be sure to Mirror the image when using iron-on and place the shiny side (clear liner) down on the StandardGrip™ machine mat.
- Follow the prompts in Design Space® to cut the images from the iron-on material.
- Place your felt on the FabricGrip™ machine mat. Follow the prompts in Design Space® to cut the images from the felt material.
- Use a Weeder Tool to remove the negative pieces of iron-on so just your design remains on the clear liner.
- Apply the iron-on layers to the corresponding felt pieces using a Cricut EasyPress™ and Cricut EasyPress Mat with our Interactive Guide, for the perfect time and temp settings; or use a household iron or heat press and a press cloth.
- Using a needle and thread, take the top felt piece of the shoe and sew the ends of the piece closed so that the seam is facing outward and creates the heel of the shoe.
- Sew the bottom felt piece to the top piece with the seam facing outward.
- Take one of the long felt strips and use a whip stitch to sew the piece so that it covers the seam where the top and bottom shoe pieces join. Take another long felt piece and use this same technique on the top of the shoe for a more finished edge.
- Take the small felt piece with curved edges and sew it on to the top back of the shoe. Start by sewing one side on the inside of the shoe and the other side to the outside of the shoe to create a loop at the heel.
- Embellish with pom poms.
