SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Deco Mesh: 5 1/2" & 10" widths
  • Pipe cleaners
  • 6" & 12" wire wreath frames
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue gun & glue sticks

DIRECTIONS:

    For 12" wreath:
  1. Cut pipe cleaners in half. Cut 8" lengths of 5 1/2" deco mesh. Curl each piece into tube, and secure with twist tie in the middle. Attach 3 pieces to each cross-section of wire frame. Repeat process, attaching 3 pieces in between each cross-section.
  2. On bar closest to center, wrap pipe cleaners around each cross-bar of wreath frame & secure, with ends facing up. Secure end of 5 1/2" deco mesh with one section of pipe cleaners (this will be the beginning and ending point). Going around to each pipe cleaner section, secure 5" swaths of deco mesh, ending at starting point. Secure, then pull pipe cleaners to back side of wreath frame.
  3. To make the center of the flower, stretch across the wire and tie in a knot or glue in place.

  4. For 6" wreath:
  5. Cut pipe cleaners in half. Cut 13" lengths of 5 1/2" deco mesh and roll into tubes. Secure center of each tube with pipe cleaner. Attach 3 rolls to each cross-section of wire frame.
  6. Repeat process for each section between, and pull pipe cleaners to back side of wreath frame.
  7. To make outside layer, cut pieces & tie in a knot around the wire. Glue in place if needed.

  8. Stems:
Attach deco mesh to the flower where you would like the stem to start. Twist and tighten to desired length and thickness. Pin or glue in place.
    Leaves:
Cut leaves to desired size and tie or glue in place on flowers and on stems.
