SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Cricut Maker or Explore
- Multiple Cricut Mats - Standard Size
- Spatula
- Assorted Colors of Cardstock (100 sheets)
- Glue Gun
- Mini Hole Puncher
- Glue Tape Dots
- Assorted Colors of Thread
- Sewing Needle
- White and Gold Chalk Markers
DIRECTIONS:
- Go in Design Space to select images
- Search Leaves
- Search and Insert the Magnolia Leaf Garland, 3D Leaf, Maple, Red Tree Leaf, Yellow Autumn, Autumn Leaf, Brown Autumn Oak Leaf, Five Point Leaf, Leaf Doddle Crew, Leaf #M8B75B0B, #MB536E8E, #MB534CDD, #MC702761, #M3D22E, #M43/48
- Adjust each leaf in an approx 4x4 inch area
- Some Leaves that have a fill (two colors showing), you will need to go to the layers panel on the right and select the eye icon to hide that layer so it its a single layer leaf
- Change each leaf color according to your paper color selection
- Insert score line on the center of large leaves, this will make the fold nice and clean and give a 3D look
- Duplicate each leaf 10 times
- Load cardstock on mat and press go
- Cut with the Cricut machine
- Use spatula to peel up
- Cut a leaf from top to middle and another one of the same types of leaves from bottom to middle. Insert leaves together for a 3D leaf
- Punch small holes on the outlines of leaves and use thread and needle to sew around edges and through the center of leaf
- Use glue dot tape to add two layer leaves together
- Roll all edges of leaves to give a 3D look
- Cut 1/8 strips of cardstock, pinch 5 ends together and hot glue to the end of a leaf
- Fan out small strips onto leaf and glue each tip down so it looks like the veins of the leaf
- Use a chalk marker to add designs to leaves
- Get two of the same leaves, but different color, and cut in half
- Glue dot opposite color paper leaves together to get a color block leaf
Craft Hack Tips and Tricks:
- Adding a score line will help the leaf fold clean and give 3D look
- Go over leaf with chalk marker 3/4 times to give a pure white look
