Beginner 1-2 Hours

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Cardstock paper (Use the same color as your twigs)
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue gun & glue
  • Twig bunches (gold)
  • Snips/shears (to cut twigs)
  • Wire cutters
  • pencil

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Roll the cardstock into a cone shape the desired size of your finished tree. Once you have the size decided, mark with a pencil and cut the excess off the side and along the bottom to leave a straight edge. Secure the cone shape along the edge with hot glue.
  2. Trim the twigs with snips a few inches long. The length will depend on the size of your cone. You want to divide the tree height into 3 sections to create a layered look of the branches. The ends should overlap.
  3. Glue in place starting with the bottom layer and gluing them around the base of the cone. Make sure to fill in any gaps to cover the cardstock completely.
  4. Once the bottom layer is filled in, move to the middle layer and then to the top. When all the cardstock is covered with twigs, remove any hot glue strings and trim the twigs at the bottom to help the tree sit flat.

Craft Hack Tips and Tricks:

  • Use a hair drier to remove any hot glue strings
