SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • FolkArt® Multi-Surface Paint: Aqua, Citrus Green, Ink Spot

  • Mod Podge® Matte
  • Mod Podge® Professional Decoupage Tool
  • Plaid® Art Materials - Spouncers™
  • Darice® Masking Tape
  • Fiskars® Razor Knife
  • Carisa® Square Glass Plate
  • Tommy Bahama® Brz SD Peninsula Fabric
  • Fiskars® Performance Scissors
  • Rubbing alcohol
  • Wax paper
  • Water basin
  • Paper towels

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Wash plates with mild soap and water. Dry and wipe with rubbing alcohol to remove any leftover residue.
  2. Cut squares of fabric the size of the plate. Apply Mod Podge® to the back of one plate at a time. Lay fabric with printed side to the back of the plate, cover with wax paper and use squeegee to smooth. Repeat with remaining plates. Allow to cure at least twenty minutes before sealing with Mod Podge®. Allow to dry thoroughly.
  3. Flip plates over. Tape off a band on two of the plates as shown. Apply Citrus Green to one and Ink Spot to the other. Let dry between any additional coats. When dry, score along tape edge with craft knife before removing tape.
  4. Apply fern icon from stencil pack onto plates as shown using spouncer with Aqua. Refer to photo for placement. Let cure completely before using them for decorative purposes only.
