How To Make Painted Vases for Centerpieces

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
  • Little Assorted glass vases
  • Can of sea glass “rose”
  • Jar of Inkagold paint, Old Silver
  • Paper bowl (disposable)
  • Medium paintbrush
  • Assorted long stems of spring flowers (one for each vase)
  • Wirecutters

DIRECTIONS:
  1. On a piece of old cloth or cardboard, turn the vases upside down and spray paint each glass vase. Spray more heavily at the bottom allowing the tops of the vases to be clear. Allow the vases to dry.
  2. In a paper bowl dilute the Inkagold paint to a sauce thickness.
  3. Hold the vase over the bowl and brush the gold paint around the base and bottom of each vase. Allow it to drip back into the bowl for a few minutes. Place the painted vases on the cardboard and allow them to dry completely.
  4. Cut the stems to the desired length using wire cutters.
  5. Once the vases are completely dry insert the flowers into the vases.
