Good idea, very easy to make.
I measured the bread we use and this was too small as-is so I made the inner square part 5" x 5" to match the bread then put the sides to be 4" long since the slices are about 1/2" per slice.
I have food grade PUL and iron on vinyl so I tried that over making a trip to the fabric store for the ripstop. The PUL worked great, I had the plastic side as the wrong side.
The food grade vinyl worked good, you will want to put a cotton binding to cover the edges or you could finish them with an overlock. These will come in handy. I have already made "waterproof" bags for snacks.
Be sure to work with FOOD GRADE/SAFE materials.
