SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Cousin® 6 pc. Acrylic Gold/Gold Green Connectors & Drops
  • Cousin® 13mm Acrylic Lime Green Ovals
  • Cousin® 6mm Lime Green Crackle Rounds
  • Cousin® 4mm White Pearls
  • Cousin® Gold Diamond Shaped Green Cabochon Accent
  • Cousin® Open Link Gold Chain
  • 16 gauge gold wire
  • 24 gauge gold wire
  • 6mm Gold jump rings
  • Sheer ribbon (30")
  • Needle nose pliers
  • Wire cutters

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Cut a 36" length of 16 gauge wire. Beginning with the stem, form the wire into a four leaf open shamrock shape that measures approximately 7" long and 5-1/2" wide. Form a loop in the middle of each shamrock petal. Wire wrap the end of the wire several times to secure the shape. Trim any excess wire.
  2. Cut a generous length of 24 gauge wire. Wrap crackle beads all around the inside edge of the 16 gauge wire shamrock petals, wrapping three times in between each bead. Cut additional lengths of 24 gauge wire as needed.
  3. Use 24 gauge wire to wrap white pearls inside the stem of each shamrock form.
  4. Cut an 8" length of 24 gauge wire. Anchor one end of the wire to the inside edge of a petal loop in the 16 gauge wire. String on a series of lime green ovals and white pearls across the back of the shamrock and anchor the end of the wire to the petal loop in the 16 gauge wire that is directly across. Trim excess wire. Repeat this step with the other two petals.
  5. Use 24 gauge wire to wire wrap the cabochon accent into the center of the shamrock, wrapping around the top of the stem and crook in between the top shamrock petals.
  6. Use 24 gauge wire and wrap 1-2 lime green ovals between the bottom of the cabochon accent and the top of the stem.
  7. Use a 6mm jump ring to connect a gold/green connector to the bottom of the stem of the shamrock.
  8. Cut nine lengths of gold chain varying in length from 1-1/2" to 3-1/2". Use a jump ring to connect one end of each length of chain to the bottom of the gold/green connector from the previous step.
  9. Use additional jump rings to connect one or two gold/green drops to the bottom or middle of a length or two of the chains.
  10. Cut a 14" length of ribbon. Bring the ribbon through one of the top petals of the shamrock and tie the ends together into an overhand knot. Trim the ribbon ends at a slant.
  11. Repeat steps 1-9 to make another ornament.
